The town hall was built in the neo-Gothic style in 1861/1862. At that time the place had 2160 inhabitants. Since 1874 it has been the seat of the mayor, because on July 6, 1874 the town was named a town.
In the first few years the mayor's apartment was also located in the town hall. The rooms of the apartment were later needed as work rooms due to the expansion of the city. The savings bank was temporarily housed in the town hall, and the archive was also located in one room. The facade was renewed in 1989 for the 850th anniversary of the first mention of the place and in 1993/94 the town hall was renovated inside. The town house, which used to be located opposite the town hall, belongs to the same architectural style, in the front part of which, facing the market, the Sparkasse has its rooms.

Really a very nice town hall in this pretty little town!
