Mythical climb towards the equally mythical Castello di Azzurrina, in Montebello. There are two roads that go up towards the castle, both departing from S. Arcangelo. Both climbs start from the Provincial Santarcangiolese (S. Arcangelo - Ponte Verucchio) and lead to the town of Torriana.
The first alternative begins near the bridge over the Marecchia river and extends 2 km (via Colombarina)
The average gradient of 10.55% with peaks close to 14% make it a challenging climb, albeit with a short distance.
The second alternative begins on the outskirts of Poggio Berni, from this side the difference in height is overcome in 2.8 km with an average gradient of 8.5%.
This climb is practically divided into two sections, the first at 10%, five hundred meters "to breathe" then a long section at 12%.
From the town of Torriana proceeding on via Torrianese, and then towards S. Arcangelo, as soon as you leave the town we find via Castello on the left.
This further climb, possibly to be considered as a continuation of the previous ones, takes us in about 800 meters to the castle of Torriana with an average gradient of 11% and peaks over 14%
