The Elpersbüttel bathing area is located south of the Alter Meldorfer Hafen and is also referred to as a "lido" in a display case at the crossover between the parking lot. The parking lot is from 1.5.-30.9. charges apply. During this time, the public toilets and the kiosk should also be open and (a few) beach chairs should be rented out. During the main holiday season, a DLRG station should ensure safety here. Now - in November - there was of course ... nothing 😊 You can get to the green beach from the parking lot either via two flights of stairs or an asphalt driveway - barrier-free. It is probably much quieter than on other beaches in Dithmarschen, even in the high season.

Bathing area is more accurate, because I definitely miss the sand when I think of a beach...

The location is wonderfully beautiful and the green area on the dyke is wonderful as a lawn for sunbathing...

Pay attention to the tides, otherwise it could happen that the low tide does not allow for bathing 😉...

Elpersbüttel bathing area, with textile and nude bathing available from the sign. A very idyllic, quiet spot for lounging on the dike, strolling in the mudflats, or swimming when the tide isn't out. You can ride your bike right up to the dike; it's permitted and popular. If you arrive two hours before the tide hits, you can enjoy the very warm, rising water. It's great for children.
