In 1925, the theater group Everything comes through zeal (A.K.D.IJ.), at the request of the pastor / church warden, constructed an open-air theater in Bourgogne. The playing surface was approximately 30 by 30 meters with an approximately one and a half meter masonry rear wall. There were 650 seats on an almost rectangular stone stand with twenty rows and a central aisle. The theater has gradually fallen into serious decline and the number of performances declined sharply.
In 2003, on the initiative of the violinist Le-Yi Zhang, the chamber music ensemble Helicon from Kerkrade gave another concert in an attempt to breathe new life into the theater. In vain. There were plans for renovation, but in 2007 the municipality decided not to do so. Ultimately, the site merged into De Graven landscape park.
