Let's see what will be built here opposite the Protestant church at the Staig Bridge. Apparently, it will be the retirement home again.
It's now 2025, and so far, little more than the demolition of the annexes and some securing of the site has happened.

The former castle of the Margraves of Baden-Durlach has unfortunately been falling into increasing disrepair for the past six years.
It would be a tragedy if the Margrave's oldest castle had to be demolished. It has an interesting and varied history, having been owned by the painter Otto Fikentscher from the end of the 19th century until the Second World War – and a home to many other artists. The open workshops and events of that time contributed significantly to Grötzingen's reputation as an "artists' village."
