The place is on a (hidden) steep slope on the Polish side and in the village you have to go down a 12% slope to the harbor! Adventurous!

From above you have a very good view of the Polish side and the allotment garden settlement called Freudenthal, which is right on the border.

Kamminke is absolutely rustic and a little insider tip! You feel like you're in a small Greek fishing village!

A few years ago, a hiking and cycling path to Poland was built from Kamminke (closed to cars). Try!

Kamminke is a municipality in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and belongs to the Usedom-Süd office based in the city of Usedom. Until 2005, the community belonged to the Ahlbeck to Stettiner Haff district.

Kamminke is one of the oldest fishing villages on the island of Usedom. Thatched houses and the cliffs determine the flair of the place.

The municipality of Kamminke in the eastern part of the island of Usedom is located in the Achterland, directly on the north bank of the Szczecin Lagoon. The Golm, which is 69 m above sea level. NN, the highest elevation on the island, offers a wide view all the way to Świnoujście. The border with Poland runs directly on the eastern edge of the municipality, and the seaside resort of Heringsdorf is six kilometers north.

Kamminke is an elongated street village at the foot of the Golm−Kamminke cliff. This is up to 28.8 m high in the local area. A viewing point can be reached from the site via stairs. Part of the town is also above the cliff.
