This scenic 15-mile route to La Palud sur Verdon takes you through a circuit that crosses the ridges of the Grand Canyon. The 14 Belvédères reveal the mythical cliffs of the Verdon and offer unforgettable views of the Grand Canyon.
The Route des Crêtes is covered by car, motorcycle or ideally by bicycle (with or without electrical assistance, depending on your possibilities). It is difficult to give a travel time for this circuit, there is so much to see, observe and admire. Wait one and a half to three hours and stop regularly at the belvederes. You will look out over the legendary Verdon and discover incomparable viewpoints such as "Carelle", "Escalès", "Dent d'Aire" or "Guègues". Sometimes you have up to 700 meters of vacuum cleaner under your feet ...
During "your escape", you will discover the local fauna (vultures, chamois, foxes ...), the flora, as well as the climbers who roam the cliffs of the gorge. The start of the Route des Crêtes (D23) is 800 meters from the exit of the village of La Palud sur Verdon towards Rougon.
Part of the road is in one direction, to make the full loop you must take it in this direction (clockwise) as indicated by the signs in and around the village.
