The game enclosure Mesekendahl in Schalksmühle

Parents and children are looking forward to the variety of animals in the game reserve Mesekendahl in Schalksmühle. Surrounded by forests and meadows, families walk on various circular routes and look at the animals.

The game reserve Mesekendahl is home to 15 species and about 120 animals. Not only from a distance do parents and children look at deer, bison and wild boar. The petting zoo, which is especially beloved by children, is the home of many pets that like to be snuggled: guinea pigs, rabbits, ponies, donkeys, goats and steppe cattle.

Pony riding and other offers

When the weather is fine, children are enthusiastic about pony riding. For those who are hungry or thirsty, the kiosk or café in the Mesekendahl game preserve in Schalksmühle awaits the families with snacks or coffee and cake.
