This church was built around 1270 and dedicated to Saint Catherine. The current tower probably dates from that time, while the nave dates from the 14th century. According to tradition, the aisles were destroyed during the Eighty Years' War (1568-1648). In 1735 the church was renovated and took on its current form, without a consistory chamber, which was added later after the Second World War.

In 2011, the church was thoroughly renovated by the Protestant municipality of Zoutelande. The damaged walls were addressed and repointed, inside and out. The benches were also replaced by chairs. The church is currently used for various purposes.

Opening hours: every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, from June 3 to September 12.

The church tower is the oldest part of the church. Due to the shifting and blowing of the dunes, the lower part of the church and tower, and with it the original entrance, has almost completely disappeared into the sand. This can be seen at the front of the tower. A new entrance was created in the south wall and is still in use today.

The (originally Catholic) church was built around 1270 and dedicated to St. Catherine. The current church tower probably dates from around 1270. The nave was built in the 14th century. A comprehensive restoration took place in 1735 and the church was given its current form, without a consistory room. The consistory room was added after the Second World War.

The church was thoroughly restored and refurbished in 2011 on behalf of the Zoutelande Protestant community. The walls, which were badly damaged by salt deposits, were treated and repointed both from the outside and from the inside. When furnishing the benches were replaced by chairs. The church is used for various purposes today.

Opening times: every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 11am to 3pm, from June 3rd to September 12th.
