The Wilsdruffer narrow-gauge railway network from 1909 also extended into the Triebisch Valley. Shortly before Polenz, the "Kleine Triebisch" was crossed twice. First behind the Nieder-Mühle (bridge also available) and at this point, just before the entrance to the Polenz train station. The remains of an old buffer stop can also be seen here, as well as the old "station building". More about the Wilsdruffer narrow-gauge railway network at wilsdruffer-schmalspurnetz.de

I think it's really great that today, disused railway lines like the one here at the "Wilsdruffer Schmalspurbahn" have been turned into hiking and biking trails, although a bit of sadness arises when almost all the old narrow-gauge railways have disappeared.

While the rails were dismantled, the bridge constructions remained here, as well as in some other places. Thus a reminder of the narrow-gauge railway from Meißen Triebischtal to Wilsdruff (opened Oct. 1, 1909, last passenger train May 21, 1966).
