The foundations of a Roman bath were discovered here. Excavated in 1855, documented and then covered again in 1857 so that the remains can be preserved.
You can't see anything from the bathroom. A model of it is in the museum in Rheinzabern.
Here only the stone stands in a nice, quiet place by the stream.
A few weeks ago (as of October 31, 2020) there was also a bank here.

""The foundations of a Roman bath were uncovered here in 1855. Covered again 1857" reads the inscription on a massive, square memorial stone not far from the footbridge on the Otterbach. It commemorates the ruins of a Roman bath complex that was constructed of brickwork Romans testifies. In the north-eastern part, the remains of an undressing room were found. The bathers began their bathing with the cold bath and the subsequent leaf bath. He went on to the warm bath, in which a semi-circular tub was installed and ended his bath in the sweating room. The entire building was heated by underfloor heating from a boiler room."
