The Gail'sche Park is a park in the style of an English garden, which was created at the end of the 19th century by order of the Gail industrialists from Giessen.
The park is open to the public on Saturdays (12 p.m. to 6 p.m.) and Sundays (2 p.m. to 6 p.m.), and only on Sundays (2 p.m. to 4 p.m.) from November to February. Admission is free.
From March to October there is a guided tour on the first Sunday of the month. This costs 2 euros per person, and you can learn a lot about the park and the history of the Gail family.

The park with villa and outbuildings built by the Giessen manufacturer family “Gail” has been expanded over several generations since construction began in 1839. The villa and park (listed since 1999) were private property and not open to the public until 2002. In 2000, the “Gail’scher Park Friends’ Circle” was founded and succeeded in having the park renovated as an important garden monument and made accessible to the public.
