      This is the “Old Regnitz Bridge” in Forchheim.
      Due to the construction of the RMD canal, it now only runs over the backwater of the Regnitz. Enclosed is the so-called sports island (local recreation) and motorhome parking space.

      Architectural monument, sandstone block building, 16th to 18th century; with bridge figure of Saint Johann Nepomuk, around 1746 and Mother of God.

                    Nice bike / car bridge between the castle and the Sport Island. Architecturally nice, but not to linger. From here a good view of the Forchheim marina

                      We did this tour today in 30-degree weather and sunshine.

                      There were also plenty of shady spots along the way to stop.

                      The cyclist rest area in Hirschaid was very nice. The owner was very nice!

                      We also liked the little town of Forchheim. Old half-timbered houses and the "Bächle" (small streams) – so cozy!
