Geology fans beware. On this tour you will find different soils and rocks. Predominant in this area is the marl lime, which is mined all around in dolomite quarries. Why, you ask yourself? Limestone serves as an important raw material for the production of cement.
The mined lime and dolomite from the quarries can be processed into a variety of products: as feed or insulation, for plant fertilization, for glass production or just for road surfaces. The high walls of the quarries let you see very well how different the individual rock layers look. Take a look from afar!
