Cozy hut in the Verwall with a great view and delicious food. The hut is open daily from July to the end of September. Overnight stays in shared rooms or in the camp are possible. You can find more information at kaltenberghuette.at.

At the Kaltenberghütte you will be welcomed and looked after by friendly and knowledgeable hut owners. Excellent food in the afternoon with cake, in the evening or at breakfast.
There are horses around the hut. There is a lake near the hut for swimming.

Servus, the Kaltenberghütte is also ideal for an extended family weekend with children. We were with our two kids in 2016, then 6 and 5 years old, on the Paul-Bantlin-Weg to the hut and really enjoyed the time up here. In the immediate vicinity it offers enough play options for the kids, so that it just can't get boring. The nearby bathing lake and the evening visit to the horses should be mentioned as highlights. An easily accessible "With children in a hut-hut" at a grandiose 2089m altitude.

A wonderful hut in the middle of the mountains, the dishes all looked delicious (we brought our own food), the ambience is great, nice with a sun terrace and sun loungers. Next to the hut there are two small lakes where you can cool off :)
