A very beautiful five-kilometer pass road in the Lusatian Mountains, which serves as a connection between the villages of Großpostwitz / Budestecy, Cosul / Kózły, Grosskunitz / Chójnica and Pielitz / Splósk.
The ascent from the western side leads via Großpostwitz with a moderate increase directly to Cosul. In Cosul, coming from Großpostwitz, the steepest section of the pass awaits you with a 12% gradient.
The ascent to Cosul leads from the north-east via the villages of Pielitz and Grosskunitz, also with a moderate increase.
A little caution is required on the descent from Cosul to Grosskunitz, as it is a narrow road with curves that are difficult to see. The first section of the descent from Cosul towards Großpostwitz is something for speed fanatics!
The condition of the route (asphalt) is quite acceptable from both directions.
Despite the lack of height and rugged mountain landscapes, driving on that pass road gives you the feeling that you are in the French Alps for a few moments.
