"Gut Wahlstorf is a manor house and a farm in Holstein Switzerland between Preetz and Plön in the municipality of Wahlstorf. The manor house is located on the Schwentine and on the southeast bank of the Lanker See and dates back to a moated castle from the late 15th century. In 1704 It was extensively rebuilt. The manor is of architectural historical importance because it is one of the oldest of its kind, still showing features of the late medieval architectural style. The Wahlstorf manor houses the scientific collections of the explorer Victor Baron von Plessen (1900–1980), who in the 1930s explored the Malay island world. Today the estate is owned by a foundation.
