Sonthofen has committed itself to becoming a bicycle city. That makes sense: more cycling means fewer cars in the city and that, as everyone knows, increases the quality of life. Anyway, around Sonthofen you can drive super road bike. Lots of quiet streets embedded in the beautiful foothills of the Allgäu - it can hardly get much better. No wonder that the big tour transalp regularly celebrates its Grand Depart here.
