The heathland near Lemelerberg has not been designated as a Natura 2000 area without reason! This heathland landscape alternates between sandy spots, herbaceous areas, heath fields, juniper thickets, fens and forest with purple heather. It is home to special flora and fauna, such as the blue heath blue, the skylark and sand lizard.
In recent years, the heathland on the Lemelerberg has been expanded, creating even more space for these unique plants and animals. Would you like to come and admire them?
