In the center of the Feldmark recreation area near Sassenberg in the Warendorf district lies the 13-hectare Feldmarksee, framed by campsites and weekend houses. With its bird protection island, an idyllic sandy beach, extensive sunbathing areas and a café, it is an attractive recreational destination on nice days. Part of the lake is separated as a bathing zone in the summer months. A swimming supervisor and lifeguards from the DLRG ensure the safety of bathers. The rest of the lake area is used by the local water sports association.

A bathing paradise with a beautiful sandy beach. But also a good break station for cyclists. From the terrace you have a wonderful view of the lake and if it's too hot, you can casually have a snack in the partially open space of the restaurant. It's more of a snack bar, the way the kitchen works is perfect and you get something to eat quickly, even if the queue is a bit long. A delicious ice cream or coffee rounds off the break.
