Location and history: The Schnarrenberg is a 315.7 m above sea level. NHN high elevation in the districts of Münster and Zuffenhausen in the state capital of Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart.
The Schnarrenberg lies between the city districts of Münster in the south-east, where its main part is located, and Zuffenhausen with the district of Rot in the north-west. Its eastern flank slopes down to the Neckar, and to the northwest its landscape leads over to its tributary, the Feuerbach. In a south-westerly direction, it leads above the 300 m contour line to a 358.8 m high elevation in the Burgholzhof district.
The Schnarrenberg stretches along the border of the Neckar- and Tauber-Gäuplatten main natural unit group with the main unit Neckar basin.
On the Schnarrenberg lies an area of the eastern part of the landscape protection area of vineyard and fruit slopes around the Burgholzhof, with the LSG Neckarlandschaft directly to the east of the elevation, then adjoining the Zuckerberg up to the Hofen lock with the Max-Eyth-See there.
The Stuttgart Weather Office of the German Weather Service is located at the summit of the Schnarrenberg. The sports facilities of the Cannstatt gymnastics club and those of the Stuttgart Reds are located on its south-western elevations, and a green area with a playground and dog exercise area extends to the west and north. On the slopes of the elevation, where there are also allotment gardens, wine is grown on an area of 3.5 hectares with steep partial terraces and south-west orientation. A little to the east-southeast of the beginning of Schnarrenberg Street is the Stuttgart-Münster - Schnarrenberg - 1978-1980 Rebflurbereinigung monument.
