                                  The flower clock dates from shortly after the Princely Greiz Park was renamed "Lenin Park" in 1950. Master gardener Willi Zeiß installed the clock a little further west in 1954, and when the park entrance area was redesigned in 2007, the clock was given its current location. Many now consider the flower clock to be one of Greiz's landmarks.
