The Romanesque church in the Greifswald district of Wieck was named after the Pomeranian reformer Johannes Bugenhagen. Inside, model ships are attached to the walls.
The tower is very decorative and there are numerous solar panels on the roof.

The earliest mention of a church in Wieck dates back to the 13th century.

Little is known of the oldest church.

It did not stand on the same site as the present one, but in the center of Wieck village.

The old Wieck church was badly damaged in the flood of 1872, and renovation was no longer economical.

From 1881 to 1883, a neo-Romanesque church was therefore built on the outskirts of the small fishing village of Wieck. It is named after the Pomeranian reformer

Johannes Bugenhagen. The simple original furnishings of the three-bay hall church include the base of the oak altar table, the oak pulpit, and the chalice-shaped baptismal font, as well as the organ case and the parish pews with their specially designed stringers. The 1882 bell from the Stettin foundry C. Voß & Sohn and the 1883 Mehmel organ were created specifically for the Wieck church.

The modern solar system on the roof supports the church's heating.
