I love the Boberger Niederung. One of the few nature reserves with good connections by the S-Bahn. That you are allowed to swim here in the NSG is only due to the fact that you were allowed to do so many decades before the protection status. The area is very varied. Moor in the northwest, along the Bille in the south, in the east the beautiful slopes with the orchid terraces, please have a look at them in summer and the dunes in the middle. And of course the popular swimming lake with a large sunbathing area. Really amazing. You will find a 20 km hike criss-cross with me in every corner of the area. It is worth it .. And freely plan a break in the information center and on the dune. But you can also linger on the terrace of the café at the glider airfield. Always open except when it rains.

The nature reserve (NSG) Boberger Niederung is a magnet for visitors to Bergedorf and the surrounding area. It represents one of the most diverse and species-rich NSGs in Hamburg. The Boberger Dünenhaus has been the first address since its completion in 1996.

The Boberger Dünenhaus of the Hamburg Nature Conservation Foundation and the Loki Schmidt Foundation for the Protection of Endangered Plants (in short: Loki Schmidt Foundation) offers an exciting, experience-oriented exhibition about the Boberger lowlands. The Info House in Hamburg Bergedorf enables nature experiences for all generations. One focus is on working with children and young people.
Guided tours, nature experiences with all senses, lectures, children's birthday parties, GPS educational routes, hands-on activities, nature exploration and much more are offered in the Boberger Dünenhaus. You can experience this in one of the most beautiful and important nature reserves in Hamburg, the Boberger Niederung. Large inland dunes, dry areas, fens and marshes with their numerous endangered species and communities can be explored here.
