The road is accessible (June 25 2022). Requires sure footedness and no fear of heights. Secured lines at exposed parts. From mittenwald via skilift to karwendelhaus takes longer than expected.

Really exciting and exposed route along the scree slopes and up the side of an imposing cliff face to/from Bäralpl. Head for heights definitely needed, and probably not a good idea to do it in the wet.

Are from Mittenwald - Ochsenbodensteig - Hochlandhütte - Gjaidsteig to the Karwendelhaus. Gjaidsteig not for inexperienced hikers!!! Tour drags on forever. In my opinion, it is not possible to indicate the time on signs
