Katharina Seiderer took a vow in the last days of the war. She repeatedly mentioned this vow to her grandchildren but could not do anything during her lifetime. When Pastor Wagner came to Kolbermoor in 1999, this story was told to him and he motivated the Seiderer family to fulfill their vows for their grandmother and mother-in-law, with the help of the Lohholzer and Kolbermoor people and the associations and the responsible craftsmen, Rudolf Schäfer as a bricklayer and Dismas Drexler as an experienced carpenter, the chapel was completed in 2000 and 2001. The interior painting was done by Erich Wagner (who also made the beautiful picture in the parish hall). The Mother of God on the altar was done by Gerhard and Renate Kohnle donated. The other characters by Elisbeth Seiderer. The chapel was inaugurated in September 2001, and since then the chapel anniversary has always been held in September, which is celebrated with a solemn mass. Since the inauguration, the rosary has been said every Thursday and Holy Mass every two months. There are May devotions and various singing and events. The chapel has become a focal point in Lohholz village life.
