A former train station on the disused Eistalbahn (The Eistalbahn is a branch line in Rhineland-Palatinate that runs in the north of the Palatinate Forest. It runs from Grünstadt in a southwesterly direction through the Eisbach valley, the Eistal, to Enkenbach Source: Wikipedia)

This "lost place" is the former service station of Stempelbrunnen on the disused Eiswoog-Enkenbach railway line. Located halfway between Ramsen and Enkenbach, it served as an alternative point and for timber handling. It was also referred to simply as the "Stempelbrunn".

The “Mysterious Signs of Time” hiking trail runs directly past this old signal box and after a few meters crosses the L 395 (Ramsen - Alsenborn).

“The Stempelbrunnen depot, located between Eiswoog and Alsenborn, was used exclusively for train crossings, as it was the only one of its kind between Ramsen and Enkenbach. It was built not least because freight traffic on the Eistalbahn increased with the construction of the West Wall.”
