You walk along great sights: on one side the steep mountains with bird flocks and small waterfalls and on the other the view of the ocean with the national park / peninsula Hornstrandir. Sea eagles were spotted (but no whales).
The old road, which was used for traffic before the tunnel was built, is now a wonderful place to walk or cycle. The road has now been damaged in several places by rockfall and debris, but this is not a problem. Nice view over the sea.
