The Pirsch mill is a so-called Dutch mill built in 1876. Until 1954 the grain of the surrounding farmers was still ground.
The Pirsch-Mühle stands on historical ground. In the Prussian-Danish War of 1864 the Austrians fought alongside the Prussians under the leadership of Major von der Thann. After the victory of the Austro-Prussian Army, the Treaty of Gastein (1865) laid down the division of the conquered territories. The Prussians received the Duchy of Schleswig, the Austrians the Duchy of Holstein. Austria ceded its rights to the King of Prussia against payment of 2.5 million Danish thalers.
