The station is served by steam and railcar trains of the Harz narrow gauge railways. The station is known for the parallel exit of trains towards Stiege and Harzgerode.

Railroad trips have made the Alexisbad train station the double exit towards Harzgerode or Stiege. In previous years, double exits took place daily and on a scheduled basis. Today, this spectacle can only be enjoyed in the context of larger special trips.
The station Alexisbad has quite extensive tracks because of its importance as a branch station for narrow gauge conditions. In addition to the three continuous railway tracks, there is still a loading track. At both station exits there are water cranes, since Alexisbad is the water station for all steam trains. Worth seeing is the station building with its historical station clock and the emailed departure board.
In the village itself there are several hotels and restaurants. Alexisbad is an excellent starting point for hikes through the beautiful Selketal.
