Beautiful baroque hunting and pleasure palace. Can be booked for weddings, meetings etc. In the immediate vicinity is also the Marian pilgrimage church and monastery. Unfortunately, the industrial area is also directly adjacent to the railing of the Hermitage - and just a few meters away, 2 huge concrete silos spoil the picture!
Addendum: The Hermitage was once bought up by the Badische Gesellschaft für Zuckerfabrikation and served for a long time as a factory administration and factory flat.

The Hermitage in Waghäusel is a baroque hunting and pleasure palace built by Damian Hugo Philipp von Schönborn from 1724. In 1837, the state of Baden acquired the Hermitage with the grounds and farm from the Baden "Society for Sugar Manufacturing". In 1997 the city of Waghäusel bought back the site with all the buildings. The dismantling was completed in 2020 with the spectacular demolition of the sugar silos.
