There are two ways from the Ankogelbahn valley station to the Schwussnerhütte.
Recommendation: over to Stappitzer See on the well-developed access road to the hut and back on the forest path / nature trail that meets the access road just before Stappitzer See.

The nature trail is the alternative route to the access road Schwussnerhütte and leads through numerous scenic highlights. At the end of the Stappitzersee there are additional information boards on fauna, flora and history.
