Right in the center of the city, the Mainz State Theater is a lively place for artistic and social debate. The three-part house combines opera, drama and dance under its roof, with performances in the Big House, the Small House, the U17 studio stage deep underground and the Glass House with a view of the cathedral. A permanent ensemble, as well as the continuous collaboration with five in-house directors, have an identity and profile-building effect, and an extensive repertoire with numerous cross-disciplinary productions guarantees a diverse program.
