The Ataturk Mask (Turkish: Ataturk Maski) is a large concrete relief of the head of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in Izmir.
It is located south of Kadifekale, Izmir's historic castle, and was built in 2009 AD. finished.
With a height of 42 m, the Ataturk mask is the highest relief sculpture in Turkey and is considered the tenth-highest relief sculpture in the world. It's built over scaffolding and not carved into the side of the mountain. The monument is a steel structure that contains a space frame system. The mask, which took three years to build from 2006, is even taller than the Jesus statue in Rio de Janeiro.
