The Thülsfelder Talsperre is a reservoir between Cloppenburg and Friesoythe and was built in the 20s of the last century. The area is under nature protection. The reservoir does not look like an artificial lake, with its small islets and vegetation on the banks, it looks like a natural lake. - There is a beautiful view of the lake from the viewing platform and from the hotel-restaurant "Seeblick", just before the outlet structure. We took a short coffee break in the café and enjoyed the peace and quiet and the view.

The dam is worthwhile in winter and in summer! Something is always different, nature in constant change. Small downer: On a Sunday with the bike, it is no longer fun to overrun.
