The Blekerheide is a beautiful piece of nature consisting of shrub heath that borders on the east with a small building of a few houses and on the south with a narrow piece of Scots pine that in turn connects to the Maas-Scheldt canal. From the Sahara you can reach this beautiful heathland via the steel footbridge. Like the Heuvelse Heide, this heathland is a remnant of the former Kempener Heide with an extensive fauna and flora. It is therefore the ideal place for fascinating hikes in all seasons.
