Most beautiful part along the Lonza with a view of the remains of the old glacier gate. Still imposing. This “detour” is no longer part of the official circular hiking trail, but it is definitely worth it. The entrance to the via ferrata to the Anenhütte is also located here. The route branches off towards the glacier / Hollandiahütte or from behind up to the Anenhütte. No longer a hiking trail, but a steep but easy mountain path.
