When the weather is nice, the view from the Eichberg Tower all around is simply gigantic - especially to the Kaiserstuhl and the Vosges.

The Eichberg Tower is a lookout tower at 368.6 m above sea level. NHN [1] high Eichberg near Emmendingen. The viewing pulpit was made of oak and sits on six Douglas fir trunks, which together with an upper platform frame form a truncated pyramid. The staircase is a filigree cylinder made of section steel and mild steel mesh, the spiral staircase has 240 oak steps.

With a height of 53.20 meters, it is the highest observation tower in Baden-Württemberg. With its pulpit at a height of 43.20 m, the tower dominates the oak forest by about 10 meters. From the tower pulpit there is a panoramic view of the surrounding area, the entire Black Forest ridge to the Isteiner Klotz, the Swiss Jura, the Vogesenkette and the Kaiserstuhl.

The tower was built by an association founded in 1999 and handed over to the city of Emmendingen on September 17, 2005 and opened to the public. It officially bears the title Jubiläumsturm Baden-Württemberg.

The observation tower stands on the 369 m high Eichberg, a slight hill in the foothills zone north of 79312 Emmendingen.

The Eichberg Tower is the geographical center of the Emmendingen district.

The total height of the tower to the top is 53.20 meters. It towers over the 33 m high oak forest with its pulpit by over 10 meters and the top by 17 meters, making it the highest freely accessible observation tower in Germany.

The large viewing platform is 43.20 meters high and can be reached via 240 steps. You go up another 10 steps to the top small viewing platform (45.0 m high). It is clearly visible from the entire surrounding area.

The tower was built by an association founded in 1999 and was handed over to the city of Emmendingen on September 17, 2005 and opened to the public.
