The ascent to the rock is a bit strenuous in the midday heat - it is better to come an hour before sunset, then you can enjoy the great view from the Golfe di Liscia over the Liamone beach to Cargèse before you watch the wonderful sunset.

The climb from Masorchia will be for the first part on asphalted roads which later turn in a sand-road. For the final 500 meters you have to make your way through the maqius, the start is marked with a cairn (staple of stones). In the end of this 500m part there is a small bit of climbing involved but nothing serious and you'll arrive at the top. This hill among the local children is called the 'goatdropping-mountain'.
From Masorchia to the top and back will take about 1 to 1.5 hours.

Beautiful vantage point with great all-round view. The small climb at the end is not a problem and is also easy to manage with a dog.
It is best to walk up before sunset, take a snack and a good glass of wine with you and enjoy.
