      "Located high above Niederfell, the Mönch-Felix-Hütte offers a phenomenal view of the Moselle valley and the Niederburg and the Oberburg with the late Romanesque Matthias chapel on the other bank of the Moselle above Kobern-Gondorf.

      Enjoy the wonderful view of the Moselle valley with the villages of Kobern-Gondorf, Lehmen and Niederfell at the foot of the Mönch-Felix hut.

      Felix, a monk from the East, came to this area in AD 70 after a 40-year pilgrimage. The Mönch-Felix-Hütte now stands where he had settled down exhausted.
