This is good drinking water that comes out of this well.
A well that I have passed by countless times. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about the history of the well.
But it is apparently fed by a spring that never runs dry. No matter how dry it was, water always came out.
I once heard that a Häfner was something like a stove builder. I have since read that it is an artesian well.
