The Vennbahnradweg is very good to drive with the road bike. Great tar, the increases hardly noticed, procedures impossible. But the bike path has a small catch: because it is a Bahnradweg, you can see the places mostly only "from behind" and somehow I miss a bit the drive through open countryside, so "right through the places" just. But he is absolutely car and motorcycle free, and some of the still existing railway facilities are worth seeing.

The Vennradweg from Aachen to Sankt Vith leads along the border with Belgium. Very suitable for families as there are no gradients (max 2%) and short sections can be connected with visits to nearby places.
