Last year I was allowed to spend one night in one of the barrels. Dreamlike! I found the sunrise from the barrel particularly beautiful when the vineyard and the wide Taubertal glowed in the first rays of the day.

The wine barrels of the Conny and Thomas Lehr family/Markelsheim
in the "Lovely Tauber Valley" are on the Romantic Road (hiking trail) and on the wine educational trail, on the Roggenberg.

…There are currently four pairs of barrels in the middle of the vineyards.

The barrels, which have been lovingly converted into a sleeping barrel and a living/sanitary barrel, are at a large distance from each other so that the cozy togetherness can be enjoyed undisturbed.

An overnight stay for two people costs €195.00.
You will receive a rich snack basket with a bottle of Secco, a bottle of Silvaner Kabinett, a bottle of Tauberschwarz and a bottle of water.

In the morning the basket is exchanged and a balanced breakfast is provided.
You will also receive a voucher to use the swimming pool at the local Flair Hotel Lochner.

Idyllic stillness in the vineyards nestles in the fantastic view of the dreamlike Tauber Valley.
Between the vines, on the Roggenberg high above Markelsheim, you can endure it - and sleep, quite unusual at that.
All in all a “fascinating” night of a special kind!
