In addition to the Andreasmarkt, the museums and the city wall, the cobblestone streets of the old town form the right backdrop for a tour followed by a visit to a café. The medieval Linn Castle with hunting lodge and moat as well as a local and folklore collection and the adjoining museum illustrate the town's history from the Middle Ages to Roman times. A lovingly designed park opens up behind the castle and offers a view of open country. The flax market in Linn, which takes place every year at Pentecost, is particularly worth seeing. There is also a Christmas market in front of a historical backdrop and serenades in the knight's hall of the castle.

The building of the German Textile Museum occupies the other side.

The German Textile Museum in Krefeld (on the Andreasmarkt) shows two to three temporary exhibitions a year, which, in an exciting variety, show the wide spectrum of the textile theme. These include topics such as fashion, liturgical textiles, textile art and textile handicrafts. The exhibitions are put together partly from our own collection, partly from groups of artists, partly from a combination of historical and modern materials. The museum will remain closed during the renovation phase and there is no permanent exhibition.
