The ruin lies on the 1.286 meter high Falkenstein near Pfronten. This makes it the highest castle in Germany. From up there you have a great view of Pfronten, the Vilstal and the summits of the Tannheimer group. The summit and ruin are easily accessible by bike. And the best thing about a sweaty driveway is always the subsequent descent.
