Marmara Beach can only be reached on foot or by boat-taxi, for example from Loutro. One of the special features of the bathing area are the small caves into which you can swim. Due to the marble rocks, the water has an incredibly great, turquoise color.

In the tavern above the beach you can relax and unwind. Many reserve a table there.

At the lower exit of the Aradena gorge you reach a small and idyllic beach. There is a small kiosk here and you can rent loungers. In the water you can admire one or the other small cave when the water is good and calm. However, one should be very careful here.

the marble beach and its tavern. many can be brought by boat, but what they miss!
The way from Loutro is wonderful. This is also the start / destination of the Aradena Gorge. And the toilets probably have the nicest washbasin on the entire E4 hike.

A wonderful place to linger, to swim and as a starting point or end point if you have (te) the Aradena Gorge on your program.
Probably the most beautiful toilet house in Crete with a unique washstand.

This bay is amazing. The color of the water is indescribable because of the bright rocks in the water, from turquoise to deep blue. If you don't jump in, it's your own fault.

However, when I see the many people in the summer, I'm glad I was there in the spring.

There's also a bar/tavern above.
