The Trebgast bathing lake is an artificially created bathing lake in the municipality of Trebgast in the district of Kulmbach, Bavaria.
The lake is located about 1.5 km southwest of the town. It is 680 meters long and 220 meters wide. It is fed by four springs within the lake. There is a 7200 square meter island in the lake. The Trebgast river flows past in the northwest, into which the lake is drained.
The lake was created between 1972 and 1975. The construction costs amounted to the equivalent of 1.5 million euros. It was completely renovated in 2003.

A lake, not just for swimming🏖🏊🏊‍♀️🚣🏿‍♂️🏕⛺️⛱🌞. Also for staying, relaxing and walking. The path around the lake is also very nice, watch out, it goes past the nudist area🙈.
In summer there is a summer festival and other events are planned, except during Corona times 😷.
A large car park is available, as well as a large sunbathing area and a bistro with a terrace.

The Trebgasterbadesee is always a must-see for our day trip...today we cycled here from Mainleus via Kauerndorf. But even if you're driving here, you can take a wonderful walk around the lake and then enjoy a snack. The playground on the grounds is also an absolute highlight for the kids.
