According to the Wiki, this Welzbach is a 12.7 km long brook that babbled merrily during my visit. Ober-Hilbersheim, Nieder-Hilbersheim, Appenheim and Gau-Algesheim lie on its course before it flows into the Rhine between Sporkenheim and Bingen-Gaulsheim.

The Welzbach is a 12.7 km long stream and a left tributary of the Rhine in northern Rheinhessen (Rhineland-Palatinate).
The Welzbach rises at an altitude of 232 m north of the cemetery in the west of Ober-Hilbersheim, which it then flows through, like the three other Welzbach valley communities of Nieder-Hilbersheim, Appenheim and Gau-Algesheim.
The stream flows into the Rhine at a height of 80 m between Sporkenheim and Bingen-Gaulsheim.
