Anyone looking to swap the asphalt for sand on their bike tour around Burg will find an honest, no-frills swim stop at the Willischza swimming lake. No entry fee, no fuss, no rows of deckchairs – just fine, light sand, tranquil waters, and the gentle lapping of small waves on the shore.

The lake is expansive – with several entrances spread along the shoreline, and there's almost always a free spot somewhere, even on summer days. The terrain is natural but well-maintained. A small wooden bridge, an island in the middle of the water, a few large stones to sit on – that's all you need to relax.

The lake is perfect for cyclists: easily accessible, bike parking is available along the edge of the bathing areas, and if you want, you can roll out your towel right next to your bike. Infrastructure like a kiosk or restroom? None. If you need something, you'd better bring it with you.
