The Lahn valley winds its way through the landscape with partly cliff-like steep walls. The cycle path is usually well developed and even between Geilnau and Laurenburg there is a narrow, sometimes bumpy path that does not throw an experienced cyclist out of the saddle.

The Lahnradweg is just beautiful. There is of course more industry here near the mouth of the Lahn in the Rhine. The Lahn is also perfect for canoeing. There are many campsites from Wetzlar to the confluence with the Rhine, very often with boat mooring and rental.
